Of course, two weeks of winter vacation and hardly any snow, then the day school is supposed to start back up, and it's a snow day. But that's okay, Nathan got to go snowboarding this morning and it wasn't even crowded. Another snow day tomorrow, maybe Matt will take some pictures of Nathan snowboarding for me. For now here are some cute pictures of the kids playing in the yard.

Christmas 2010
Yay Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas. Matt was off work for nearly two weeks so lots of family time. The kids loved all their presents. Alivia's favorite was her princess dresses, she wears one every day. Aaron loves his new bike and if it wasn't so cold or snowing he would be out riding it every day. Baylee got a little kitchen and she loves playing it with her sister. Nathan got new legos, and a new snowboard and is on the mountain right now trying it out in the fresh powder. I got a recliner for the living room, and Matt got a new Ipod and the board game, Catan, that we had to play everyday until he beat me at it. Haha it took about 5 nights. We finally got a decent size snow storm this weekend, so we will bundle up and enjoy the snow today.

Day trip to the Aquarium
Who doesn't love visiting the Aquarium with 4 kids! Well, it wasn't bad at all. This was a few weeks ago during a week of rain, so not that many people were out. The kids loved it, of course! We did get a little wet since some parts of the Aquarium were outdoors.
Of course the kids' favorite part of the day was in the bird exhibit, where hundreds of curious lorikeet fly around and even land on you. Matt had a couple land on his arm and back, and while filming the kids, one landed in my hair! I was just grateful he didn't poo on me! Here's the video...

First snow of the season
It wasn't a lot of snow, but the kids were very excited to get to go out and play in it. Matt helped them build a snowman, and I was able to get Baylee to smile for a picture.
Thanksgiving
I love Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday! I just love being around friends and family, and really wish I didn't have to wait for a holiday to be with my family. This year we had Matt's sister Melissa and her family, our good friend Slim, and my dad. Even though hosting Thanksgiving is a lot of work, I still really enjoyed having everyone at my house. I didn't get any pictures on turkey day, just too pre-occupied with cooking and chatting, but here's a couple to share...
Here's one of all of us, in the van, hahaha. If you look closely you'll see the top of Isaac and Aaron's head!

Our friend Slim, the hairdresser??
Here he is again as the handy man...
I'm very thankful for Slim helping Matt replace the window he broke while hanging Christmas lights. Otherwise our house would have looked like this until spring.
